This information applies to all email software.
Regardless of which client you use, the basic mail server settings are the same. For each program, you are required to enter:
The incoming (POP) mail server name: pop.mydomain.com
The outgoing (SMTP) mail server name: smtp.mydomain.com
The E-mail account user name: myaddress@mydomain.com (the full Email address)
The E-mail account password: (the password you select when creating the email account)
Using our test domain, testdomain.com, the settings would be:
The incoming (POP) mail server name: pop.testdomain.com
The outgoing (SMTP) mail server name: smtp.testdomain.com
The E-mail account user name: mary@testdomain.com
The E-mail account password: (the password that was selected for this account)
You can also find the exact settings for email by logging in to SiteControl and clicking on the Edit option next to any email address. The settings then appear in the Edit Email Address page.
